How Does The IceProbe Small Aquarium Chiller Work?

By using our IceProbe solid state thermoelectric cooling system, the Aquarium Chiller directly converts electricity into cooling power utilizing the Peltier effect. The chillers probe cools the water by removing heat and radiating it into the atmosphere through fins with the help of a quiet, low-speed fan.

Since no compressor is needed for thermoelectric cooling, the Nova Tec Small Aquarium Chiller is extremely reliable and requires no refrigerants, so its environmentally friendly.

Cooling Performance

A single IPAC-50W chiller can cool 10 gallons of water 6F to 8F below ambient air temperature in a standard aquarium. Multiple Aquarium Chillers can be used to achieve higher temperature differentials.

Greater temperature differentials can be achieved by insulating the exterior surfaces of the aquarium. For example, a single Aquarium Chiller can maintain a temperature differential of over 20F in a fully insulated 10 gallon aquarium.
