The IceBank Advantage!
|

|
In a well
insulated reservoir containing up to four quarts of liquid, it is
possible to form a bank of ice around the probe as the system runs
undisturbed overnight. By storing cold energy in the form of ice,
total system capacity and recovery is significantly improved. The
example below illustrates just how much cold energy is released when
ice melts. |
|

|
In smaller insulated reservoirs, the IceProbe can quickly
cool liquid to below 40ºF and will normally begin to form ice within eight
hours.
After a full IceBank has been formed, an IceProbe powered water dispenser
can delivery over one gallon of ice-cold water in an hour.
As room temperature water enters the reservoir, the stored cold energy in
the ice is released as it melts to maintain a very cold temperature in the
reservoir even during high draw conditions.
